It also says that the front electric motor is used to drive the front wheels in certain situations. So it is not just a motor for the electrics as you are saying in both of the articles about this concept car.

Dunno why, this car reminds me alot of the Maserati Buran concept car from around the 2000 timeframe. I liked it and I like this.

For a Concept, this is much too derivative; think Alfa Romeo Brera! The FT-86 Scooby (shared with Toyota) is far better than this.
