A new video showing the time-lapse build of a Wiesmann GT MF4 has been released. The video was shot over the course of several days during the Frankfurt Motor Show last month in Germany.
The four-minute long video does have some unfortunate jump-cuts at different points (we never see the car moved from the stand to the ground at 3:33). Granted, each second of video represents about thirty minutes of real time. For the auto enthusiast, it is quite fascinating to see the process, which was completed by just two company employees over about ten days.
"It's a perfect documentation of our work," said company executive Friedhelm Wiesman in a press statement.
The €120,000 sports car features a 4.8-liter, 367 horsepower V8 engine from BMW. Power is sent to the rear-wheels, and is controlled through a six-speed manual transmission. The car goes from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds, topping out at 174 mph. An aluminum chassis and composite body helps keep the weight to 1,240 kilograms.
