WCF reader Alex Ayats was lucky enough to be driving behind a matt black 2010 Audi RS 5 Coupe out in Barcelona. Some visible features include the two massive tailpipes, a rear diffuser, rear LED lights and low profile tyres. A brief sneak peak through the windows reveals two front sports seats similar to those of the RS 6.

Since Audi postponed a number of their new product launches, thanks to the global recession, the RS 5 has had to bide its time and clock up extra test miles. Hopefully that makes it an even sharper road hog than originally planned.

Under the bonnet lurks a rumoured 330kW (449hp) of power from a 4.2-litre V8 engine. It would be placed under the care of quattro AWD and a standard 6-speed manual or a 7-speed R Tronic. As with recent versions of quattro most torque should head rearwards under certain driving conditions.

The RS 5 will debut at an international motor show within the next few months, with first sales scheduled for July 2010.

I don't think so that it is RS5, Audi would not choose these rims to their A5, I guess

Nice..... 449hp sounds like a healthy jump in horse power. It would be nice if that number was a fact, rather than rumor.

I've just been informed that the RS5 is a cannibal. I'm told it feeds on the BMW M3, for Breakfast, Lunch, Supper and as a snack between meals! So watch out M3 owners, your car is the RS5's Staple Food!

Wow! i'd like to see that up close! just looking at it makes me want to bust out my pink polos and reach for the sky! JK on that, but this is going to be one beast of a ride, that will surely beat all other brands.

This should be quite the monster. Can't wait at all. Although I recall reading somewhere that Audi wasn't going to put the manual transmission on this one and that it would only come with an R-Tronic..

Hot Damn! This is the one car I would actually kill to have, literally. The S5 is so sexy and the sound is so rough. Can't wait.

Hope they've got it wrong and it comes a S-tronic instead of a R-tronic.

GOd, I used to love this car, but I got so tired of seeing it everywhere, I think they shouldn't have put 1.8,2.0,3.0, engines for it. I think this car should've been more exclusive, with only powerful engines, maybe just the 3.2,the S5, and of course THIS ONE!. It's just maybe that way, I would still love it as much as I did before, I'm really bored of seeing everybody with their 1.8 audi A5. At least put the s-line package on it GOD! But probably this stupid idea is not profitable at all. But you do understand what I mean right.

I can't think of any better audi, for me it's not the rs6, because it has a turbo engine and weighs 2 tonnes.
