79 days after sustaining life-threatening head injuries in a Budapest qualifying crash, Felipe Massa on Monday morning returned to the wheel of a formula one car.
Photos depicted the 28-year-old Brazilian driver at the wheel of a slick-tyred F2007 Ferrari, at the Italian team's own test circuit Fiorano.
The ANSA news agency said Massa completed a single installation lap early in the morning before returning to the track for more laps.
