European pricing for the Ferrari 458 Italia will begin at €162,900 excluding tax, according to a leaked pricing sheet obtained by TeamSpeed.com.  The document also indicates that UK pricing should begin at £149,246, with value-added tax costing an additional £26,118 in that country.

A second sheet, found on Dutch website AutoGespot, indicates VAT in the Netherlands as €30,951, with an additional passenger car tax of €77,271, making the on-the-road cost €271,122.

While these prices are higher than the F430, which this vehicle replaces, they are not as high as expected.  Naturally, Ferrari has set option prices for the 458 Italia that could easily add thousands of Euros, Pounds, or Dollars to the pricetag.

Metallic paint sets you back €2,350 (£2,153), but if you want the car painted in a signature 1950s or 1960s color, expect to pay another €7,050 (£6,459).  If you order the €2,200 (£2,016) electric seats, add another €2,030 (£1,860) to include racing harnesses.  Painted brake calipers may look nice inside the €3,500 (£3,207) 20-inch forged alloy wheels, but add another €850 (£779) for the design touch.

You can read the full details, in English and Dutch in the attached images.

Wow. I am definitely won't be able to afford a brand new decently equipped Ferrari. Guess I'll stick with a fully loaded Nissan GTR in my car shopping list when the economy recovers :D

pretty expensive for a F430 replacement, but it's ugly anyway, so i don't care.

The pricing is perfect because it ensures exclusivity.

this car, as well as most supercars, is only appealing to those who can afford it.. those who think it's ugly won't afford it anyway, so ferrari don't care too

i think most supercars are appealing to anyone who likes cars, Zonda, Lamborghini, Carrera GT, McLaren SLR, Ferrari 599 , Aston Martin DBS, etc. Ferrari isn't immune to everything , they went bust once and they now belong to Fiat. i'm not saying this car will hurt Ferrari, but building only ugly cars will. maybe that's why they are creating their own design studio now.

There are no cars that appeal only to the rich- you can be able to afford it, and still hate its looks, or not be able to but love its looks. That being said- I don't see WHAT about this car people could find ugly - its nice and curvy, its mean to say "Ferrari is moving towards the future", which I think it does rather beautiflly.

(Sorry, but I just HAVE to say this... Looks like a R8 ...;)

Yeah, and knowing the Euro government's approach- I'm surprised they didn't add caravaning tax, or something else ridiculous like that. Oh well, it's 1-0 again for the revenue services.

I think the interior is ugly and too luxurious.
