so finaly Audi came up with the Idea of Start/Stop function and an energy recovery system. what a sensation compared to BMW's Efficient Dynamics program which includes these things since the begining...

What must be the news is that DGS/S-tronic are mated with Start and Stop systems. Which is good! I don't see this in other brands. Start and stop are always presented with manual gear box's...

Indeedi-o, DogFalcon, mating s&s with an automatic transmission has proved to be much harder than with manuals, excluding hybrids. The Hydramatics and 6 speed ZFs that BMW use certainly don't support s&s as standard. The new 8hp however does, and I expect to see all future models utilizing it to have stop&start.

All good stuff, I like the concept of the 1.4 litre turbo with DSG and start-stop: low emissions, reasonable power. And I'm a whore for the Audi daytime running lights.
