SharkWerks 3.9L Engine Kit for Porsche GT3 Produces 500hp [Video]

U.S. tuners crank up the Porsche 997 GT3 to over 500 hp and 355 lb-ft (480 Nm) of torque

SharkWerks has partnered with Evolution Motorsports to deliver a U.S.-tuned version of the Porsche 997 GT3.

The engine conversion kit adds 0.3 liters to the engine's displacement and provides and additional 87 horsepower to the production 997 GT3. The 3.9 liter now delivers 502 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque (480 Nm) over the production 3.6 liter's 415 hp with the new piston and cylinder kit developed by the Freemont, CA and Tempe, Arizona-based tuners (SharkWerks and Evolution Motorsports, respectively).

Interesting to note is the EVOMSit software kit provided by Evolution Motorsports which can calibrate the engine for either 91 or 93 octane fuel.

See the video for more details.

Thanks mucho guys! She's a fun car indeed and I think she would/should walk a 2010 RS in similar fashion to the 2010 GT3 in the video;)

And still atmospheric? Damn, getting that amount of extra power out of a basically already great engine is impressive. Congrats. I only wonder about durability, I think Porsche always builds quite some margin in its power and revs to ensure certain durability targets. Would like to see this car after 100K miles. But anyhow, impressive.
