CAR UK had a quick chat with Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show and asked him about several issues, including future 458 Italia variants. As previously reported Felisa confirmed the appearance of a 458 Spider some time in 2011, about a year after the coupe is launched. He was however, a bit cagey on a possible Scuderia version.

"The Scuderia was a special version, a new concept," he said. "For the new 458 there are not yet any plans for a new concept. It is too early."

But as common knowledge will confirm, Ferrari is all about performance and passion, and Scuderia represents both in abundance. Teamspeed's rendered speculation on such a car brings it to life in the tradition of what Scuderia stands for; hard core performance.

The old F430 Scuderia provided the driver with 520 horses and 100kg less fat to work with. The 458 Italia is already more powerful than that (419kW/ 570hp) and if similar weight shedding is achieved a Scuderia would come in at around 1,280kg.

Ferrari also confirmed that replacements for the aged Enzo, the 612 Scaglietti and the 599 GTB Fiorano would come from around 2012 to 2015.

I prefer the Italian flags found on the 360 Stradale better than the 430 Scuderia

Well, the italian flag from the 403 Scuderia was bringing a tribute to Italy, the 458 it's already called "Italia" so I don't see why they need the flag. If you ask me, I like this one more, the black stripe gives it a cool bad boy look.

Hmm, I wonder what they've done to the picture of the 458 Italia to make it the Scuderia? Added a black stripe on it? :D

Hi there, notice the lower part of the front nose as compared to the original car, the lower area is rendered a tad.

How much could they really do without overshadowing the F60 and its replacement, unless they want to make it better than the F60, which begs the question of how crazy the F60 replacement will be?

At this point in time i don't even know if there are any signs of an Enzo replacement. The F projects may have died with the Enzo who was the last car Enzo Ferrari got to see made.

@radmeister The F40 was the last car Enzo Ferrari was involved in developing, not the Enzo.

not at all radmeister, old man Enzo passed away back in august 1988, that´s some 14 years before the car thar bears his name was released! Heck, he didn´t even come close to knowing the F50 that was slotted in between the F40 and the Enzo, nor did he know about Michael Schumacher who was to take a Formula 1 Driver´s Championship back to Maranello 21 years after Jody Sheckter did.

Make the 599 replacement a V12 mid engined like the Testarossa, to compete with the next Pagani or the next Murcielago and leave the front engine layout to the Scaglietti replacement

WDF, like as if ferrari needs another beast of a ride that can only go stoplight to stoplight. But the only car i would buy from ferrari would be the 599 GTB with a masonry stallone makeover, the rest of the ferraris are way too showy and everyone just has to act like they are like the best car in the world.

Forget the Scuderia coupe version, how about the Spyder? Ferarri sex appeal is back!
