My uneducated guess is the next one won't be as big of a leap in terms of technology as the one from R34 to R35 was, and we'll see pretty much the same car with a fancier body.

I would have to agree with you. The R35 is a huge jump, and really the only thing I could see that they would do is make a hybrid GTR, which would be nice.

The car industry is so dynamic these days. Most car designs stagnate after 3 years now. Nice work Nissan!

I just hope it's a little smaller...
This is what I mean:

joshq 5, your photo reminds me of the golden age of Honda and their legendary NSX (especially the Type R). It's a shame that Honda suddenly cancelled the new NSX project(I believe it's 95% done !!). The GT-R can now only wait till the launch of the Lexus LF-A for another Nurburgring battle !! OH MY GOD !!!! Where's the NSX? RX7? GTO Twin Turbo? Supra?

Not really, a LF-A will cost a lot more then a GT-R and some say that will be produced only 500 cars. So a Supra will be more of a rival for GT-R.

I hope that they take a look at the design, both the interior and exterior dont look that attractive...

I dont think the R36 will be so revolutionary, it will just be an update, slight performance improvements but nothing thrilling.
