Aston Martin has released a new promotional video showing the Rapide's testing and development.
The film shows high speed testing at the Mira facility in Warwickshire, England as well as durability testing on Germany's famous Nürburgring. Later, a pair of Rapides head to the mountains of Italy to perform powertrain testing.
As we have previously reported, the Rapide is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine with 470 bhp (477 PS / 350 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. Backed up by a six-speed Touchtronic 2 transmission (with steering column-mounted magnesium paddles), the Rapide accelerates from 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds) before hitting an estimated top speed of 188 mph (303 km/h).

WoW, This is the coolest looking one in it's class..
It is disturbing to learn that it looks similar to Peugeot's 407 when it is on the move
It's so good looking. Nothing like the Panamera. The Panamera dosen't feel quite right.
gorgeous car the only thing i don't like in this car is the design of the steering wheel!
This car is unbelievably good looking. I can't wait for the Rapide-S. That will be the ultimate Aston Martin (after the One-77, of course). This is the only car that I would call a four door coupe. Every other four-door car is a sedan.
I have to say they did a great job here of creating a sedan that was true to the brand. It looks exactly like a DB9 but with room for four adults.
