WOW, this are some fast numbers all around! is the 3.1 0-100kmh posted by the 997.2 turbo PDK, the stock 2010? if so that's smoking fast, quite abit more so then the Porsche claimed 3.5

Go Lambo, didn't expect the SV to beat the CCX-R in 0-100Km/h!

why the cadillac, why not a ZR1? and get rid of the tuner cars lets see a test like this with stock cars all the badass cars being made right now!!!

I expected the ccx and the apollo to post faster times, specially b/c of the power to weight ratio of the apollo. I guess they need to work on the gearbox... a 0-100 km/h in 3.9 is unacceptable for an 800 and 700 ps car.

if you look at the picture , it's a Gumpert Apollo Speed, that car is geared for higher top speed, also from the way those guys are dressed, it looks like it was cold and wet, RWD cars don't accelerate good on cold/wet surfaces.

true that... good point just noticed that, i guess the porsche is quite impressive then with a 3.0 sec time in wet/humid track.

Those times are probably good for those cars on that very wet track. Lots of power and no grip. The wing on the ccx-r is fugly.

hey there 2 gumperts here the blue one is the speed and bright oranfe one is the regular one and i belive theres 2 corvettes the black one in the front and a the green one in the back in between the Mustang and the GT40

That stock 997 Turbo is really incredible. But I have to say, 0 to 100 is not the most meaningful yardstick anymore. Still holds its own up to 200 and 300, faster than the tuned Corvette by the way. Gumpert a bit dissapointing but the remark about the weather is to the point. I would also like to know which tires are used. Some key cars are missing: Zonda, Skyline, Ruf CTR3, ... Finally: the picture would probably be different if taking laptimes as comparing point and that is arguably more important than how they do on a dragstrip.

How relevant is this without a Veryron or Ariel Atom present at the very least?

and to add to that fact(s) above that the 4x4 will aways do better off the line(as in 0-100), i would love to see the CCXR converted to 4x4 and then see the porsche try keep up with it

agree with most on here, the figures of the 997 TT MKII with PDK are nothing less than incredible. imagine this car with 650-700 BHPs. 0-100km/h in 2.6,2.7 are within reach.

Yeah, the new 997.2 turbo is a true GT-R killer !!!
Nice magazine !

Top secret Skyline does 0-300km/h in something like 13 seconds!!!
September 29, 2009 10:16 am
0-100 in 3.1 is indeed a shocker, but the Wiesmann MF5 GT is also impressive.
September 29, 2009 10:47 am
Still tries to go over 300km/h. Data will be presented in the next issue of SportAuto.

Very nice numbers guys but it is not nice when you make a test without your main competitors such as 9ff,Ruf.... and especially when you are number one. WCF article about 9ff "All that power gets the car from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds. 200 km/h can be achieved in 8.7 seconds, while getting to 300 km/h takes 18.5 seconds." and so on...
If you want to be the best you must play and beat the best.
