Lamborghini Estoque Concept spotted in Cologne Germany

The Lamborghini Estoque Concept was recently seen on the streets of Cologne, Germany.  Spotted without license plates, the car may have been the subject of a photo shoot.  Although the circumstances around the spotting are unknown, it seems clear that the sports car has not yet been put to bed.

Lambo's four-door concept was first introduced last October during the Paris Motor Show.  Soon after, the front/mid-engined car was rumored to be axed, due to the economic crisis.

Back in March, Lamborghini responded to the rumors by saying the vehicle had not been cancelled, but, "No decision has been made to produce the Estoque."  The company has said that a four-door would fit well with their current product line-up.

Big enough to fit four adults with enough room for a few golf bags, the Lamborghini Estoque Concept is meant to fit a class of cars called "super sports sedans" such as the Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche Panamera and Bugatti 16 C Galibier.

Dear Lamborghini,

Please please please MAKE THIS CAR!!! I love the way the front end looks, so don't touch it anymore now. I love the rear wheel-arch bulges, they're brilliantly masculine. And I hope that you don't just fit it with the Gallardo's 5.2litre V10, but also with the all-new V12 engine that's coming with the Murcielago's successor. If you do that Lamborghini, I will certainly trade my hard-earned cash for one of those. If looks could kill, this'd be the assassin of our time.

this concours D'elegance is sponsored by Volkswagen Group (AG), that's because lambo, bentley and all the others were there!

You know what? Go ahead, Lambo, build it. People will buy it. Even though I personally don't like it at all... looks like a generic Lambo face attached to a Dodge body to me. But people seem to like it somehow... besides, nobody likes the Panamera and VW AG ended up building it anyway, so maybe public opinion isn't all that important anymore these days =]

can't believe you mentioned a dodge... blasfemy!

'nobody like the Panamera'? don't make me laugh. Don't mistake the average opinion of the typical car forum adept to the opinion of the rest of the world and more specifically those who are in the target group. By the way, I like this Lambo. I prefer it clearly above the Rapide as well because the design is more than just a 'coupé with some piece welded in the middle'.

Oh, and I'm not that into Lambos anyway. I just happen to find them tacky, over the top and fit for the nouveau riche and balding millionaire empty nesters. No flair, no class, no elegance... just that look-at-me million dollar macho attitude. Hey, just saying.

Youre entitled to your opinion but no flair?? If there was ever a car maker with flair that would be Lamborghini my friend. Look up the definition of flair in the dictionary, I'm pretty sure it says Lambo lol. And class and elegance? You're thinking Aston Martin, Lambo has never been about class or elegance, it's just not the car for you.

The car is absolutely gorgeous, I'd trade my S8 for one. The issue is the price tag. To compete and sell well, it has to cost between 150-250k max. Basically, it has to be just under the gallardo or at the very max the same price. This has to compete somewhere between the Panamera Turbo and Aston Rapide, which is the target market for a super sedan. Forget the Bugatti, very few people will buy a million dollar super sedan because these cars are meant for everyday use. Lambo could really make money if they bullseye this car in terms of volume and price. This could be the Cayenne equivalent for Lambo, one product to generate cash and guarantee revenue for a company selling exotics in a global economic crisis

...good points...and to add fuel to the fire use a new Twin Turbo V8 for power and efficiency...

Totally love it! Bt can they make it a bit more tougher in the front, the Reventon makes this look like a normal sedan!

This car is a thing of beauty... if you ever saw it when they had it in the Top Gear studio omg what a beautiful car. I can't believe lambo axed this car, they need to get their heads straight and build it, same as bmw with the cs concept. What better way to get out of a recession than with a grand bold design!

I met Valentino Balboni last month at Manhattan Motorcars during an event that was held for the new LP550-2 VB. I asked him if they were going to make the Estoque Concept a production car and he told me "Definitely NO, no more Estoque." So unless he was incorrect I dont expect to see this vehicle.

More watering down of the exotic brands. The Estoque is a re-shinned Audi A8. I do like the styling, but stop using Audi parts!

Bull's-eye design! What a waste if this four-door Reventon Concept is never made! The Aston Martin Rapide is dull and unimaginative in comparison.
