Its main market is in Europe so I guess the diesel models are the ones that sell better there.

I think there is a chance we may actually see the new Meriva in the USA market, especially with the Obama Administration fuel economy mandates. They could drop in the larger-displacement version of the upcoming 1.4-liter I-4 engine (probably 1.6 liters rated at around 118 bhp) with the Chevrolet Cruze's six-speed automatic and it could become the first serious competitor against the Honda Fit in North America.

I don't believe that I will see this model in the brazilian market, because to make here, the GM will spent a lot of money to put the new meriva in order to drive one in the brazilian highways, and with a new engine would be a serious competitor for the Honda Fit, Nissan Livina and the Fiat Idea. Let's wait to see what happen.
