Japanese tunere ASI is used to taking on risky projects.  They have attacked many already-high priced cars, and tried to make them better.  Previous cars they have modified include the Bentley Continental GT, called the ASI Tetsu GTR, and the Ferrari 430.

Company CEO Satoshi Kondo has announced that his team of engineers are hard at work on their latest project: an aerokit for the Ferrari 458 Italia.  Kondo authorized the release of these sketches, well in advance of the final prototyping, in effort to prevent future accusations of design theft.

A new front end is amongst the expected design changes, featuring with a new nose, larger hexagonal air intakes, and vents in front of the blacked-out wheels.  The sketches also show a new wing mounted at the back.

If the company's mods on the F430 are any indication, do not expect a retuned engine.  Instead, look for the new body parts to shave weight when compared to the old parts.  The ASI F430 received a 27kg weight reduction when it was introduced in June.

Looks OK, but it will be much better with BBS rims.

OK, so we are looking at some photoshops of the original Italia images from Ferrari. What's the big deal?

Front reminds me of the Murcielago LP670 SV!

AWFUL- and probably counter-productive. Ferrari has spent millions in aerodynamics, technology straight from years of F1 experience. The front of the new Ferrari is designed to morph as it gains speed inducing downforce comparable to an F1 car. And here comes a nobody and photoshops a plastic kit on a car that is nothing short of a technological masterpiece. Ridiculous what these "tuners" go through these days for a little press. What's with that wing in the back anyways? The F458 doesnt need one because the whole underbody produces an exponential amount of downforce. Leave it to the japs to rice it up.... and yeah, black rims, what an upgrade.

so what if Ferrari spent millions, the GT2 version will have a wing and a different front for better downforce. i bet Hamann and Novitech will change the looks too, to make it handle and look better.

Considering that many don't like the new front end of the new Ferrari 458, I have to disagree. In fact, this is what the production version should have looked like. It has a bit of the Enzo, yet it's design has more in relation to the model(s) it replaces; you can see a continued evolution from the 360/430 front ends. Aerodynamics drag shouldn't be compromised just because of a redesigned nose. Now, it doesn't look so much like a whale shark. Good job ASI. That's one mean looking Ferrari!

I think it's pretty sweet, even though it's just a rendering.

Hooray! Big gaping intakes to distract you from the big gaping holes around the headlights. Aero or no aero, those things look like panel gaps. Also no more stupid rubber deforming front wings. That was just weird.

The car is not even out yet and some company already manages to butcher it! Ha great job ASI!!

despite this is just a computer modification, i think this company should take credit for showing us how an aero kit would look like (despite zero wind tunnel testing), whether you like it or not. the way the modified car now sits more grounded and the spoiler and wings do make it more like a racer. and it is true that novitec and hamann will no doubt come up with something not too different in no time.

Worst possible attitude in design. To make more clear this I propose to try repaint something the point you will never get anyway like to try improve the cupola painting in some Vatican church hence things are old and authors are dead too.
