this looks WAY better than the 3 series. i think this is going to be one of the best looking bimmers in recent memory, can't wait to see it with the covers off. and a KERs system?! that is incredible! too bad they never used it on their F1 car, might've made a difference.

Maybe the shoulder line is somewhat similar to the three series. But apart from the shoulde line it's where the similarities end (at least the 3er in the parking lot doesn't look like this car :)).

612 bhp??? My friend has the current M5 and lets me drive it every once in a while, and let me tell you something: it's a monster. It is so fast! I can't wait till the next one comes out, especially if it has 612bhp.

I feel your pain...where i come from, the E60 M5 retails over the 200K price...go figure!!! we can only dream of owning one...never mind, it'll all work out eventually.

I like the front of the new 5, it looks meaner and more purposeful than the old seemingly semi-random array of lines on the current 5. The back hasn't been hit with the ugly stick (much) either. A five I could like the look of? Maybe. However, it makes the 5 Gran Turismo look ungainly - I'd take the standard new 5 thanks!

If they put a normal automatic transmission rather than that stupid DSG, Nice sounding engine (not like the current one that sounds like a diesel and has no torque below 4k rmp)...then this will be a great car. Can't wait to see what BMW has done with this one...

This will be the best looking saloon car around, I used to work for BMW for 3 years selling them. I can honestly say that by driving the competition you cannot beat the drive of a BMW. I have moved to Mercedes due to a commision structure change but want to sell BMW's again now, cannot wait to see this car!!!
