Belarus graphics studio does a rendering of the Koenigsegg CCX to Gran Turismo 5 image standards

A video game imitating life? Or life imitating a video game? Hard to tell the difference here.

This is a video rendering of the difficult to spot Koenigsegg CCX created by a Belarus-based studio called Proper Graphics. The video rendering is modeled to Gran Turismo 5 standards but is not a GT5 production.

The video provides for a detailed look at the car, inside and out and image quality is crisp and textured. The real-world part of this video is likely filmed in Minsk, the Belarus capital where Proper Graphics has its home offices. Just have a good look at those cobblestones - how they seem to curve up and out of the image and how smoothly polished they are. Proper Graphics does 3D imaging work as well, and the image-rendering work here is so vivid in its own right, notwithstanding its adherence to GT5 standards.

Which is better though? Forza or Gran Turismo? I'm trying to decide whether the extra cash spent on the PS3 will be worth it.

Wow, amazing.

I just bought a PS3 almost exclusively in anticipation of this game.

I haven't had a GT game since GT3, and this is gonna be amazing.

I have to throw in a little hate on the xbox 360 too; it'll never be able to run this game...haha

Won't look nearly as good, The PS3 can barely handle NFS Shift at 720p, i returned after seeing how pathetic it was and bought it for PC instead. 1920x1080 full graphics with full damage with forced 16xAA and 32xAF. Now im hooked on just buying cars and racing them stock around the ring to see what i can get. Best time so far was 8:50 with an RS4 which is pretty sad, i think i can get it closer to 8min. HIGHLY recommend getting this game (buy/download) just for the ring, truly amazing track all 12.86miles of it through the mountains. Especially with a Logitech G25 racing wheel

Yeah I heard NFS is back in town especially with a new game developer. They've gone GRID stylerz. The last 3 NFS were pretty woeful.

I have a PS3 and i can say that there is no way this will be ingame graphics, it has only 7 cores which mainly operate for physics calculations, true 7 cores is cool especially at 3.2ghz but that really doesn't matter as physics calculations are like floating point calculations and can be performed by GPU shader cores. The gpu has 24 shader cores, and a memory bandwidth of 22.4GB/s @ 128bit and a max GPixel fillrate of 4.4GPixel/s. To compare, my GTX 260(overclocked) has 219 cores, 448bit mem, 128.8gb/s and 21.2Gpixel/s. With roughly 6x the processing power my card even in SLI(~12x) would have a hard time rendering that in real time at 1920x1080. I've rendered some parts before and if i had to throw a wild guess that was either done with 2x Quadro FX5800s or 10-12 PS3s rendering together. There is a video on youtube of a guy performing ray-tracing with 3 PS3s together and it's not even 10% of the detail of this.

I'll be buying a ps3 soon for un gt5 related matters (Metal gear solid 4) but I still hope they can squeeze this kind of graphical quality out of the ps.

i've been waiting for this game a loooong time! finally... i think the graphics could look like that in a ps3 combined with an LED tv... i have one and let me tell you led tvs are the shayt, the image is unbelievable

I don't see what's so impossible. I've seen GT5 trailers and the cars look just about as good as this detail-wise. Perhaps the reflections won't look as good on the PS3, but from what I've seen the level of actual car detail is very close to this, if not the same.

GT5 uses the same engine as GT-5 Prologue, and the detail/graphics are nowhere close to this, like i said pre-rendered footage(movies) are easy cuz its just a movie, like playing Wall-E on blu-ray, playing a game with Wall-E graphics and shading would require immense amounts of processing power, something the PS3 had when it first came out, now it's not very impressive. GT-5 Prologue has bland environments, no AA, no AF, low amounts of shading and reflections and that's why it can output at 60fps 1080p, games like NFS Shift have to be output at 720p in order to have 60fps, with super low settings compared to a PC. Face reality PS3 is 3 years old, it wont have in-game graphics like this video. If it does they will simply be CGI movies playing back that they most likely rendered on a high end computer and output in MOV or some video format at 1080p. I have a PS3 and as great of a system as it is/was i can tell you it will never be capable of these kinds of graphics ingame unless the game is at 480p output it simply doesn't have the power.
