Filed Under: Frankfurt Motor Show, German, Porsche

Filmed just prior to its unveiling at the Frankfurt Motor Show, we showed you the 911 GT3 RS in action on the Autobahn. Now this second video installment turns the lens towards the 2010 911 Turbo facelift and 911 Sport Classic.

The video starts with Timo Bernhard, Porsche Factory Driver and winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Nurburgring, and Daytona, driving the new 911 Turbo Cabriolet on the wet back-roads of Frankfurt. After a quick sprint, we turn to Boris Apenbrink, the Project Manager of the 911 Sport Classic, who walks us around the limited edition new 911 SC. Enjoy!

Why not sell this vehicle within the U.S.? I think that for whom they are targeting, this is a great vehicle.

I like the phrase " it is a concept car that you can buy" it is really amazing piece of art. I think after a few years they will put it in production with a slightly changes. Arabian gulf customers may have a couple of these cars too, hopefully I can get one

The man in the video says that the Sport Classic has a couple of bulges in the roof to give a man extra room for his um..."helmet."

Looking at this new 911 makes me wish that my pants were equipped with this very same feature.

However, Porsche could save a few thousand dollars in production costs per vehicle by fitting a standard 911 roof and instead focus on reducing customer helmet swellage by equipping each Sport Classic with a picture-of-Rosie-O'-Donnel-in-the-glovebox feature, kind of like this one...

The bulges are a design feature ... and the extra room for the helmets is just marketing

and if you look on the price tag (about 20.000 Euro more than a GT2) ... forget the extra costs. I will see the idiots who pay 200.000 + just because it is "limited"
