Have you actually seen the E-Class in real-life? I have, and it doesn't look ugly at all...I agree that it doesn't look quite good in the pics, but on the road it looks awesome.

As a matter of fact, yes. I did NOT like the way it looks, GS still looks nicer. I even drove an E500. And I was frankly seriously underwhelmed. It handled like a big boat. Even with the controlled suspension set to 'sport' mode it wasn't remotely fun to drive. People here are fast to judge anything with a Lexus badge badly because they are not driver cars... Well, be consistent. 90% of Mercedes are also NOT driver cars.

There are so many people on this website that claim to own cars they've never owned...
Or have driven cars they have never driven...
You can always tell because they full of bullsh@t!

9TNine, you're a joke. Why would I lie about a drive in an E-class? It's not as if it is such a rare, special car.

They actually already have the updated version of this on Lexus Japan's website, and the short clip in the beginning actually shows the rear, and also the 360 colour configurator 4th icon under design http://lexus.jp/models/gs/index.html

Watch out for the "heavyweight plastic floor mats", according to Toyota... aka the faulty drive-by-wire position sensor...!

you really don't seem to like lexus/toyota, do you?
Do you have any proof of your sensors claim? love to see it.
My opinion: being US, where they love lawsuits against big companies, this must have been investigated in depth. If authorities say it's the floormat, I tend to believe it.

Not really that keen on Lexus drivers either...

LS400, I do believe!

Yeah, he's a funny guy. I actually went to that site. I discovered he just picked out the messages he wanted to see... Maybe he got cut off by a Lexus the other day. Some people are very sensitive about that.

Nope! Last car that cut me up was a Mercedes CLS on Thursday 17th September 2009.
No one likes Lexus' where I live.

The E-Class is in another league, I compare it with LS. It's very sporty and drives solid like a tank. Every design angle is consequent and engineering is truly amazing.
I admit my '10 ML feels boaty on standard bulging 19's and the electric steering and brakes are detached. But it still feels very solid like a tank, and corners relatively flat.

A few new v6 engines and a diesel would help more than a facelift.
