This is the new promo featuring the Audi R8 Spyder. The fast-edit video has an interesting soundtrack, and shows the car crossing many, scenic locations in the quick, thirty-second spot.
The R8 Spyder uses a 525-horsepower 5.2-liter V10 engine, which you hear quite clearly in the video. With 530 Nm of torque, the engine gets the car up to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. Top speed is rated at 313 km/h (194 mph).
Some of the details spotted in the clip include the "peeled-away" cloth top, multi-spoke wheels, and the dynamic styling. The LED lights are also used very well in the clip, with the rear lights being seen in an eye-catching way.
Audi R8 Spyder sales will begin soon, with deliveries taking place next year.

Ya I'd rather have the R8. I see Lambos everyday and the R8 has that Ironman image - just cool. It has the best interior of any supercar and since Audi owns Lambo and even was behind the development of the V10 it makes perfect sense, just as the S6, S8 do.

I was reading this and across the canal from my window, is an infamous bit of straight, quiet road that gets used for unofficial "road testing" often... I've just seen a Gallardo spider (in yellow) whipped to 100mph along there! Love the R8 - but it can't much the Gallardo for auto-erotiCAR!?

It's very interesting to see that people always compare 2 cars with totally different style and level...though the engine of R8 came from Gallardo, their marketing position and style are totally different. Comparing R8 to Gallardo is something like comparing S-Class/7/A8 to Ghost, which always happen though...

comparing an r8 to the lp-560 is comparing apples to apples - nothing\s wrong here. They're both mid-engined supercars with the same engine and some components, they both have similar performance and they cost very nearly the same. Audi looks amazing in real life, but it's still an Audi. Lambo is exotic supercar, choice is easy.
