File it under the "whoops" file; Hyundai left some of their biggest news for the Frankfurt Motor Show uncovered and undisguised when they brought it into the convention hall.
These are photos of the new Hyundai ix35 / Tucson SUV. Note the new grille, new headlights, new fog lights, and lower to the ground appearance. The side glass appears to get an update as well, along with the side mirrors with integrated signals. The back-end is rounder, featuring a spoiler, steeper angled glass, new rear lighting that spreads from the side paneling to the hatch. Integrated rear fog lights are also a nice touch.
Supposedly, the vehicle is a bit more environmentally friendly, too. A 2.0-liter turbodiesel is expected, which could produce around 150 grams of CO2 per kilometer. An even-cleaner 170 hp 1.6-liter turbo engine running on petrol is also rumored. Full story should appear tomorrow when the new Hyundai ix35 makes its debut in Germany.
