The Wiesmann MF5 Roadster will be debuting at the Frankfurt motor show next week but an official photo has been leaked ahead of time so we get a preview of things to come here.

The Roadster's design appears to be staying pretty close to that of the MF5 Coupe, with, of course, the roof removed. The orange top there to replace it (by the looks of it a softtop) is matched to the wheel rims - pure supercar excess and definitely a 'look at me' statement. That stand-out color scheme will likely be one of the points of attraction for the select group of 55 owners who will drive off at the wheel of an MF5 Roadster.

The MF5 Roadster will be made out of the same aluminum monocoque chassis as the coupe version. It will come with a V10 engine from BMW with 507 hp (just like the coupe) and will do the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 3.9 seconds. Top speed will be 309 km/h (192 mph).

Prices for the MF5 Roadster will start at €189,500 (or $276,000).

In black with a white ragtop this car would be sick.

I agree with you. 189k Euros for a frog on wheels is way too expensive.

€189,500 is OK for a limited edition hand made car with that performance , especially when you compare it to other cars in like that, Ascari KZ1 for example. the dollar conversion is irrelevant because they don't sell it in the US anyway.

I would, but not in those colour schemes

That rear end really doesn't work for me. Doesn't quite seem right. Their coups are better looking. But anyway, with 189K to spend, I won't go to Wiesmann.
