I'm sure the in-fighting over the SLR and the release of Mclaren's MC4-12C didn't help the Mclaren/Mercedes relationship.

actually if you listen to ron dennis and others who are now involved in mclaren's road car operations, they said that they learned a lot from m-b about how to build a mass production super car through the slr collaboration. the slr is the world's best selling super car (even though it fell below m-b's expectations) in terms of units sold. given these facts and statements, i don't think the slr had anything to do with the souring of the relationship.
i think it has more to do with m-b's dissatisfaction earlier this season with the mcmerc race car despite the brawns doing so well with the same benz powerplant. the current car, as hamilton himself has stated, lacks the downforce of the brawns and others making it harder to win.

On the track, Brawn GP is outperforming McLaren-Mercedes... and its also powered by a Mercedes engine. I guess Mercedes wants a piece of the winning (better?) team.

Finally Mercedes have the man to run their Formula One outfit that they have been chasing for years and years.
Hopefully they keep Rubens. He's shown that when the chips are down and there is competition that he can perform. Rather than Jenson and his choking.

i hear some say M4C-12C will get Bmw engine again like the old F1 Model.
Bmw Sauber Won't be anymore so what about Bmw-McLaren?
i know it sounds unreal but everything can happen in the Car World.

I think this has more to do with the controversy surrounding McLaren and the spy thing and then the latest lie scandal. I can't blame Merc for not wanting to be associated with them anymore.
