Renault has introduced a new special edition Twingo called Dolce Vita.

Designed to appeal to female drivers, the Dolce Vita features gold stickers on the front bumper, door handles, and B-pillar. Thankfully, Renault dropped the gold theme when they outfitted the Twingo with black 'Pirate' wheels and black pearlescent exterior mirror housings.

Inside, the special edition receives a CD audio system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, extra chrome trim, and a "bright and cheerful color scheme." Other features include electric powers mirrors, a height-adjustable driver's seat, and independent sliding rear seats.

Under the hood, the special edition can be equipped with the 1.2 LEV 16V 75 eco² or the dCi 65 eco² engine. Since both engines are eco-friendly (they emit 119g and 113g of CO2/km respectively), they qualify for France's €700 'eco bonus' subsidy.

The Twingo Dolce Vita will only be available in France, and prices start at €11,750.

RENAULT INTRODUCES TWINGO DOLCE VITA

The Twingo range prolongs the pleasures associated with the holiday period with the introduction of a smart new limited edition version, Twingo Dolce Vita. The newcomer's attractive price tag and trendy, practical appointments are a guarantee of wellbeing at the wheel.

  • In addition to the exclusive graphics featured on different parts of bodywork, Twingo Dolce Vita features black 'Pirate' wheel trims, as well as pearlescent black exterior mirror housings and foglamp surrounds. The cabin's bright, refined ambience is highlighted by a number of chrome details.
  • Twingo Dolce Vita is comfortable, too, thanks to its independent sliding rear seats and height-adjustable driver's seat. Travelling comfort is further enhanced by features such as climate control, electrically-adjustable exterior mirrors and a Bluetooth radio-CD with MP3 playback, jack-plug and USB connectivity which allow occupants to enjoy music stored on personal MP3 players and permit safe use of mobile phones.
  • All versions of Twingo Dolce Vita qualify for the Renault eco² hallmark. The 1.2 16V LEV and dCi 65 engines emit 119g and 113g of CO2/km respectively, making them eligible for the 'eco bonus' subsidy of €700 operated by the French state.
  • Twingo Dolce Vita will be released on September 12. It is only available in France. Prices start from €11,050 (with 'eco bonus' deducted), which represents a saving to the customer of €600 compared with the Trend version.

ELEGANT, COMFORTABLE AND RESPECTFUL OF THE ENVIRONMENT

Renault is to introduce a brand new Dolce Vita limited edition version of Twingo aimed at active
lady drivers looking for a small, chic car.

Twingo Dolce Vita's elegance immediately strikes the eye thanks to its smart exterior styling:

  • The same bumper as the Dynamique equipment level, black headlamp masks and foglamps.
  • Dolce Vita graphics on the foglamp surrounds, door pillars and door handle recesses.
  • Pearlescent black exterior mirror housings and foglamp surrounds, plus black 'Pirate' wheel trims.

From early November, Twingo Dolce Vita will be available with a choice of two new body colours
(namely Cajou Brown and Vanille White) in addition to the existing Pearlescent Black and Glacier
White.

The interior features a bright and cheerful colour scheme, including chrome buttons and interior door handles, as well as a vanity mirror for the front passenger.

Based on the Trend equipment level, Twingo Dolce Vita comes notably with the following essential
comfort-related features:

  • Manual climate control,
  • Electric exterior mirrors and electric front windows,
  • Height-adjustable driver's seat and steeringwheel,
  • Independent sliding rear seats,
  • Classic Radio-CD with fingertip remote control, MP3 playback, Bluetooth ® and Plug &

Music connectivity, and audio streaming (see audio connectivity section at the end of this document).

All versions of Twingo Dolce Vita qualify for the Renault eco² signature. It is available with a choice of two particularly frugal engines (1.2 LEV 16V 75 and dCi 65) which emit 119g and 113g of CO2/km respectively, making them eligible for the French state's 'eco bonus' subsidy.

Twingo Dolce Vita goes on sale exclusively in France from September 11, with prices starting from
€11,050 (eco-bonus deducted).

Twingo Dolce Vita follows in the same tradition as Twingo Nokia, Twingo Night & Day, Twingo XV de France, Twingo Rip Curl and Twingo Art Collection, all of which have helped Twingo emerge as the segment's best-selling model in France. Twingo has topped the small city car market for two years running. The model accounts for one sale in three, an increase of almost 60 per cent over 2008.

There's nothing "dolce" about that color scheme and engine choice! More like "dark goth" for the diesel or "emo" for the gasoline :P

it's not pretty at all, but at least this is a female-oriented version that is NOT painted in pink on the outside and dressed in florals on the inside. now THAT is some sort of relief.

by the way, i think renault did a terrible mistake by avoiding the 'cute' approach for the design of that current twingo. just take a look at how many 500s and kas are being sold all over europe right now. 'being different' is mainstream now, and even though renault had got it right first, back in the early nineties, it seems to have forgotten its own recipe for a succesful city car.

"Vita" with French cars can't be "dolce". What a hell of the self-image!
