Heffner Performance has unveiled a specially tuned Lamborghini Murcielago with over 1100 horsepower.

In order to achieve this insane figure, Heffner added twin-turbochargers to the Lamborghini's 570 hp V12 engine. The end result is astonishing, as over 1114 hp is delivered to the rear wheels.

While Heffner failed to provide typical performance data, they stated "In 90 degree heat the car pulled off a 5.10 second 60-130 (mph) at around 950 RWHP. For reference a stock 580 horsepower Murcielago takes around 9.5 seconds to make the leap from 60 to 130." When the full 1100 hp is dialed in, the company expects the time to drop into the 4 second range.

Look for more information to be released when Heffner finalizes the performance package.

What insane power!?! I hope they stiffened the chassis, cuz otherwise this car will literally tear itself apart.

Thats amazing power for the Lamb, but probably too much power for every day use.

2nd and 3rd gear shifts in the second video sounds like it is close to breaking.

yeah, what about a gearbox??? With that much power, 1100 hp, it will fall apart quite soon..

Yeah, they're definately gonna grenade that tranny; if the crank doesnt give up first. Cool concept though. Stupid fast!

I would guess that they took care of the tranny and internals of the engine, based on the worksmanship of the manifolds and exhausts i doubt they would ignore the rest.

Well you have to modify those parts to strap two turbos on. But there is specifically no mention of uprating other engine internals to handle twice the power; nor of the gearbox; nor of the brakes etc.

You would think any company WOULD upgrade these bits, but then it also sounds like these guys figure testing amounted to little more than mashing the gas with a stopwatch on their hand. What sort of standard benchmark is 60 - 130mph? And who the hell uses "RWHP"?

I don't even know what Heffner Performance is, other than potentially some back street tuning outfit that lacks credibility so hijacked the Playboy magnates name to try and sound bigger and better than they are.

what they dont talk about is warranty and reliability. Its not healthy for a lamb to have that much power and be used on the street. Im sure lamb thought about why not to add that much power in the first place. Idiocracy.
