Sorry, no M3 CSL. BMW traded it for a fresh pair of uselessness by building a X5 M and X6 M instead...

Looks stunning, especially that paintwork. Wish they would tweaked the car a bit more.

The car is superb and the beauty of such a concept is that BMW respects the car's powerplant by not adding modifications. The V10 is more than enough and it should be kept as is in order to preserve its value.

You are speaking as if BMW is some sort of aftermarket tuner. If BMW upped the power, no value would be lost.

this comment makes no sense on so many levels. why would the powerplant's value be hurt if the maker of the engine made it more powerful? is power a depreciant? on an unrelated note, i've never understood why you have to fiddle with iDrive, go through multiple different menus to access the v10's 500hp. and then there's not just a straight 500hp, there is a 500hp plus. what the hell is the difference? why don't they just give me an "efficiency mode" that keeps the revs down for better fuel economy and a "performance mode" that gives me higher revs for spirited driving. this type of technology is just irritating.

BMW is nuts to take the 5.0 V10 away.

CSL isn't really about power buffs, yes there are some minor ones, but its about being lightweight and nimble, something the huge M6 cannot pretend to be. CSL would only fit a 3 or 1 series right now.

Lame. I was hoping for an M6 CSL of sorts.

 M! M!
very disappointing. exactly what does M6 have to do with the word "Competition" ???

this is what M-B and BMW do these days, instead of making a car that is truly special (Black Series excepting) they just offer different trim colors, a different paint, slap some carbon fibre trim here and there and call it a "special," "performance enhanced," "competition" version when all they've really done is lowered it or added a god damn lap timing clock.

i agree about BMW , but MB releases the SLS and if the SLR Stirling Moss isn't something special enough for you , then what is ?

The only thing I like about this "special edition" is the interior, even if it looks like it was designed by a stormtrooper

Love everything about the car BEST ENGINE EVER but it would be more reasonable to selebrate the end of the naturally aspired ///M V10 to increase the power +100hp at least or introduce a CSL model of the M6. That would be fantastic.

the V10 won the engine of the year award, but that's nothing special , BMW has won that award many times. i would not call that the best engine ever. the BMW V12 in the McLaren F1 could be a contender for the best performance engine ever.

gorgeous. definitely my choice among the pick of sport tourers. both the e60 m5 and the m6 have been around for a while and have been among the best performance machines in the recent past. nice package and the paint job is def to die for. kudos to BMW and not BWM!
