Yeah because Renault F1 thought 'Hey why not put one of our racing drivers life on the line for a few constructor points then crash a car worth god knows how many millions (scrappage scheme of course!)and then we can also do really well in the next few races so that nobody suspects anything!!' Come on FIA,GET A GRIP ON REALITY! I hope Renault quits F1 and comes back to Touring cars! And to think of all the things Renault has given F1 the last 40years...

This sounds really stupid and unreal...for a well established and world championship team like Renault to try something like that? I don't really believe it. I hope the FIA would be fair and get all the facts straight. And most importantly, no politics involve in the investigation process!!

I would like to think that given how damaging this would be to F1 and Renault the FIA wouldn't have proceeded with laying charges unless it had some good evidence. But with the FIA's performance this year, who knows?

Everything in the F1 is politic related. F1's governing body wants the head of Briatore, 'cause he has said the truth about how things are being conducted in the F1 world by the hot shots.

Hmmm... Renault...!
Didn't they (get French authorities to) raid the AutoPlus magazine office for publishing photos of the (then) new Megane (which is crap anyway!) that was launched only several months later at the 2008 Paris Auto show...????
BAS@@@DS!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Megane is no crapper than an Audi A3...And the Autoplus offices got raided for publishing pictures of the UPCOMING Twing-up not Megane by the way!

I read French and speak fluent French,I got the real story straight from France...and from Auto-plus which I use to buy up until a few weeks ago.
More Renault news? 30% less warranty claims in the last 2 years (quality is improving),the Vel-Satis will not be replaced, the New Espace project has been put on hold and the recently unveiled Fluence will be available in a full electric version from 2011

hahaha what the hell are you going on about 9Tnine??? The article is correct but the vehicle talked about by worldcarfans is the wrong one lol thats all! I still have the Auto-Plus which talks about the raid (number 1037,22nd July 2008) and says it was all to do with their interpretation of the upcoming Twing-Up dated July 2007... I could try and scan you the article if you like matey
