Hamann Tycoon EVO Based on BMW X6 Revealed - Public Debut in Frankfurt
Hamann Tycoon EVO BMW X6

Way back in January tuner HAMANN unveiled a new TYCOON wide body kit for the BMW X6. For the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show the company will showcase the latest version of this model called the TYCOON EVO. Visual differences with its predecessor include new front wings, LED daytime running lights and side skirts that widen the body by 60mm.

The rear is dominated by the new sporty exhaust system with its centre double tailpipes. HAMANN promises that its sound is particularly throaty for exceptional aural pleasantries. In its vicinity are back wing extensions and a roof spoiler. Fitted to keep it on tar are special ultra-forged and polished 23-inch wheels wearing 315/25 R 23 size rubber.

No HAMANN car is complete without the engineers delving deep under the belly to unearth something more potent than what the factory offers. At the bottom of the petrol range is the xDrive35i which normally has a healthy 225kW (306hp) and 400Nm. This has been increased to 265kW (360hp) and 540Nm respectively. As such, the speed limit increases to 275km/h (171mph).

The diesel derived from the xDrive30d which usually has 173kW (235hp) and 520Nm, now has 195kW (265hp) and a flying 600Nm of torque. The second diesel motor from the xDrive35d has had its power and torque increased to 235kW (320hp) and torque to 660Nm from an early 2,000rpm.

At the top end is the xDrive50i-based V8 which has been convinced to churn out 368kW (500hp) at 5,600rpm and 700Nm of torque. It will almost hit 300km/h (186mph) if left unchecked.

HAMANN will kit out the interior with such things as a three-spoke steering wheel, aluminum foot pedals and lots of carbon fibre pieces.

Already for the eights time, HAMANN-Motorsport presents its exclusive refining program at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

In hall 5.0, exhibition stand B.32, the renowned BMW specialist and tuner of the most excellent luxury sports cars presents it latest developments. One of the displayed highlights of the 450 square meter large HAMANN stand is the world premiere of the TYCOON EVO which is based on the BMW X6. The revolutionary difference to its predecessor is the newly designed fender extensions and the striking rear. The visual and sonorous highlights of the rear part are the earthy sports exhaust system with the remarkable center double end pipes.

The TYCOON EVO- an auto-body pack which sets benchmarks

Already the design department at HAMANN-Motorsport ensures that the TYCOON EVO meets the Hamann Tycoon Evo BMW X6 Gallery: Hamann Tycoon Evo BMW X6
expectations in his name. They designed and developed an impressive broad makeover for this BMW crossover model and ensured that all accessories reflect and perfect the shape of the car. The masculine appearance of the TYCOON EVO is mainly emphasized by its new front wings and back wing extensions made of light composite material. They broaden the body by striking 60 millimeters. The perfectly designed side skirts render the optical connection while the front apron is an outstanding eye-catcher with its large air inlets and the LED daytime running lights under the serial headlights. At the rear of the X6, HAMANN engineers replaced the original skirt with an own development. This makes place for the sporty and earthy exhaust system with the center double end pipes. The back appearance of the TYCOON EVO is enhanced by a rear- and roof spoiler. It goes without saying that all used HAMANN-components do not only convince with their design but also with their aerodynamics. They ensure an optimised air flow over the car silhouette and render an additional downthrust.

Perfectly styled from head to toe - the suitable rim in XXL format

The suitable rim for the broad makeover of the BMW X6 is the DESIGN EDITION RACE ANODIZED. The ultra-light forged wheel combines both agility and also elegance. The black rim star and the titanium bolting underline the dynamics of the wheel. The highly polished rim flange on the contrary gives the car a noble impression. HAMANN offers the 23-inch wheel with tires sized 315/25 R 23. Special chassis springs fantastically enhance the light alloy wheels. Thereby, progressively coiled springs lower the barycentre of this Sports Utility Vehicle by maximally 40 millimeters at the front- and back axle.

HAMANN performance kits - from tycoon to typhoon

The choice of different HAMANN performance kits is as manifold as the selection of BMW engines. The tuning expert bestows the X6 xDrive35i with an engine output of 360 hp / 265 kW at 5230 rpm. Parallelly, the maximum torque rises by 140 Nm to 540 Nm in the rpm-range between 1300 and 5000. At the same time, HAMANN also suspends the speed limit of 250 km/h and allows impressive 275 km/h.

The Diesel series also profits from extra power. After the serial motronic is re-programmed, the xDrive30d has 265 PS / 195 kW and transfers a maximum torque of 600 Nm to the crankshaft. The engine variation xDrive35d also turns into a racy sprinter: HAMANN is able to tease 320 PS / 235 KW and a sensational torque of 660 Nm at 2000 rpm out of the Diesel car.

The maximum performance enhancement HAMANN offers is for the eight-cylinder model xDrive50i. By using a new motor electronics map and by applying metal catalysts and the matching sport exhaust system, the engine output increase to 501 hp / 368 kW at 5,600 r.p.m. (serial version: 407 hp / 300 kW at 5,500 r.p.m.). The maximum torque rises to enormous 700 Nm at 3,700 r.p.m (serial version: 600 Nm at 1,750 r.p.m.). Also the maximum speed rises significantly and only misses the 300 km/h notch by a whisker.

The inner values of HAMANN - noble accessories for the TYCOON EVO interior

In addition to the present, serial inner design, HAMANN offers accessories made of high-quality aluminium. Pedals and foot rests render motorsports sensations and perfectly match the 12-part HAMANN decoration set made of carbon fibre. An instrument dial with a scaling up to 300 km/h and a 3-spoke sport steering wheel further underline the sportive overall appearance of the TYCOON EVO. For the boot of the X6, HAMANN offers an elegant and also practical boot mat with chequered decorative stitching and an embroidered logo.

Great Car? In my opinion this car is as needless as the Series 5-GT or that weird looking Honda Crosstour. Just a waste of metal. The X5 is a beautiful car, who needs this one? Is there an unofficial tuning challenge of who builds the most awkward looking X6??? This thing reminds me of the Marder tank i was on in the army...

 Iconic Iconic
Since when did tuners start to only design cars for the UAE market? I guess they thought it would be the only place to get away with selling ridiculous looking designs for ridiculous amounts of money. Hell it's actually a good business move now that I think about it.

they have made a beautifal vehicle look nasty, tasteless, overdone, cheap, and completely ugly. Nice work of added sh*t to the menu when you tune automobiles. TAKE OFF all the spoilers, fins and that weird looking stuff!!!!! and why in the world would you want a wide bodykit on a jeep?????? im still puzzled. stop smoking watever it is you are smoking and make a decent kit with subtle front and rear fascias to add flare to to vehicles already sporty looks. comeone is that too hard for your engineers to do?

I haven't seen a HAMANN design yet that I would let them pay me to mod my car.

I dont mean to offend anyone, but this looks really bad IMO. It's totally overblown for the sake of looks. This is about "new money" people trying to show off their newly found status. That central exhaust reminds me of a horse giving birth.
