Slicks, 258bhp, Rollcage in the boot. All of that seems good, but it is just an estate, and it has a Skoda badge.

N20, yeah Skoda badge is not for those that prefer to pay premium just for a logo... Skoda do great cars with finish quality that could nearly reach Audi (it's even sharing a lot of parts)... but for less than 30kEuros (with all options included). like a Mercedes ? Which one ?! Remember the Octavia is below the 4m60 bar (but still with a very good cargo space: 580L). I hope the green bars are removable... I have just to comment the new grille : idea was good, but it doesnt look similar to the one used on the lower bumper part (looks flat/ironed out).

Judging by their sales in Oz you are not alone. Shame, as they do sell really good cars at great prices.

Green bars in the trunk!! The best feature in this car! They take away the functionality and bring more focus in the right matters.

Before seeing Mercs or Opel resemblance, just remember that this car is nothing else but a facelift of a model launched in 2004. It's the second generation Skoda Octavia, based on Audi A3/Golf Mk5 platform.
