But that doesn't help owners or those who aspire to own the overall significantly better current Z4, because this conversion is based on the old Z4 which had an M version anyway...

The Engine is pretty cool, and I love those BBS wheels. The Z4 is just meh though.

In europe the M5 has and 7 speed smg gearbox, but why have americans the option to choose for a 6 speed manual?

the 6 speed manual M5 that the Americans got has a non switch-off able traction control

This is insane. I prefer the looks of the older Z4 much more than the new one. And with that V10 this a masterpiece.

the old one is the better choice , it's lighter. i wonder what the weight distribution is in this thing.

because most people around the world do not mind to have their bread buttered on one side. americans want their bread buttered on both sides. they nagged for the 6 speed and it turned out that the engine was tuned and built from the early stages to work with the SMG transmission. end result: a worse performing car due to a unfit transmission. if they stuck the smg in this z4 i think after it hitting about 300kmh it might start to fly :-). this is no doubt one of the best z4 project ive ever seen. if they could only sqeeze a bit more space for a twin turbo set up i would sell a kidney or some other body part worth money to buy 1 :-)

Absolutely fully sick...Manhart sure are making heads turn and hearts beating V10 times faster than normal...still a personal favorite is the M3 E91 5.0 V10 SMG Touring...i'll take that any day :)

they should have coupled the smg gearbox on to this rather then the 6 speed

Interesting, they've used the Z4 M body kit rather than a tasteless design.

as an engineering feat its quite impressive but cant you take the 3.0L out to that kind of power ..without the weight?
