Skoda will be debuting a new estate (aka wagon or kombi) Superb at the Frankfurt motor show next month.

Not terribly surprising since the Superb wagon was recently spotted by our spy photographers doing some testing without any noticeable camouflaging.

Estate versions are starting to get their fair share of attention as of late and Skoda certainly wants to be a player in this segment of the market. Drawing on its deep well of resources from the VW Group, Skoda will likely be offering several engines on the new Superb estate to match all needs.

Those include a series of variants on the 1.4 liter gasoline/petrol engine with horsepower ratings ranging from 125 hp on up to 170 hp for the 1.4 liter TSI from VW. Skoda can also opt for a range-topping 3.6 liter V6 with 260 hp for the Superb wagon.

On the diesel side will likely be the usual array of VW TDI engines, including a 2.0 liter TDI with 170 hp.

Also helping Skoda compete in the mid-range wagon segment will be the DSG gearbox from VW as well as an optional all-wheel drive system.

Estate Version of Škoda Superb to Debut at Frankfurt Motorshow

Škoda Auto will present the estate version of its flagship model Superb at the forthcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The car is a logical continuation of the Superb model series and offers an ideal combination of practicality and elegance. The estate version follows on from the hatchback, the current generation of which has found more than forty-two thousand owners, in just over a year since it was launched.

The newest addition to the Superb range extends the tradition of estate versions that are typical of what customers have become used to in Škoda cars -timeless design and spacious interior that make the Superb estate an ideal car for every driver who requires a comfortable, reliable car in all circumstances.

The hatch superb have a really awkward rear, I think this one may be better resolved.

An other copy-paste effort coming again from Skoda! After (hmmm, undeliberately...?) all over these years having copied other manufacturers, just like they did lately -as an example- with the Yeti which looks very close either to a Land Rover Freelander or a Discovery , now they keep on their tradition in copying this time MB's new C-class rear lights (like after all they did in the past with the previous C-class). Way to go, you know... I guess the next Skoda facelifts will also be inspired from MBs. I don't care whether they offer nice or ugly cars, all I don't see is the smallest effort in producing new designs with personnality. They don't even offer the great value for money as they did in the past, since now they 've raised their prices! Such a shame for a brand which used to have a perspective...

I think skoda is what vw use to be, except for the price. This could come close to the mercedes e class in terms of space.

Most of the Kombi's profile is clearly visible & I don't see the point of this teaser shot haha...nice understated styling BTW...typical Teutonic understated elegance..ahem.

I think Skoda is crazy ... if some Ugly Superb needs to be teased, then i don't know what to say. Ok, so the Seat has the looks, Audi the quality, VW the brand and Skoda the quality/price good ratio .. but using a teaser for a SW .. Superb, that's pure 100 % crazy !!
