New spy pictures of the upcoming Ford C-Max have surfaced. The vehicle was caught testing under hot weather conditions. It seems the people carrier will get an extra row of seats and be able to sit up to seven passengers.

Spy photographers say the rear door appears to be the sliding type rather than a conventional one, taking from cousin Mazda 5 which also features an electric sliding rear door in some models.

Engines will likely be shared with the current updated Focus and Kuga but some will receive modifications. Petrol and diesel remain the primary sources of power but a natural gas version has also been mentioned as a possibility in Europe.

Rumours suggest that Europe is not the only market that will sell the C-Max. For the first time in the car's history the US has been hinted as a future market.

Ford is only expected to unveil the new C-Max at the 2010 Paris Motor Show but until then a steady flow of spy material and more details should make its way through the media.

its a bit annoying when you see cars like a year or two before they come out, they keep you waiting too long
