I can see this car as being very popular. I'd certainly have one! It would be similar to a cross between my E36 '94 318is and '99 Jetta TDI. Larger, more powerfu, more efficient, somewhat "athletic" and probably as more fun to drive than either or my older models. BMW-USA, you should get his vehicle homologated in the USA. If you did, it would surely sell far better than the new-to-market Lexus HS (which is heavy, ugly, slow, and not-al-all sporting).
PLEASE STOP DENYING THE USA OF EFFICIENT DYNAMICS!

the europeans can buy a small diesel engined efficient car and wait for a full rechargeable or regenerative electric car with longer range in a couple of years time having skip the whole hybrid car thing. wunderbar BMW!

please, bring back the 4 cylinders 3, like the good old 318...look at the BMW line up in U.S., all freaking 6 or 8 cylinders engine choices only...

Look at the prices of fuel in the USA and Europe than you'll see that the 4 cylinders BMW's are not needed in USA!!

X6M, i know, but it's NOT the matter of fuel cost, it's the EFFICIENCY. resources are cheap don't mean we can abuse them.

I'd have one too. Who needs an awkward Prius when You have this ? I love the turbine wheels too, kinda remind me of the old M5's ones.

I have test driven it (regular version with the same 2l diesel), and apart from being very stiff and having some cheap plastics in interior, it is very good car. Rock solid suspension is the biggest drawback here

@radmeister: did you calculate how many carbon emissions your Volt does? Electric power not only comes from nuclear power plants, you know?
This car is great. Just as simple and efficient. BMW ftw!

i think IQ130 did, and said it was equivalent to a petrol car that achieved 53mpg.

LOL radmeister! Show hybrid cars the bin! Who gives a rip about saving the planet! Can't care less

This car is better for the planet than the volt or any current hybrid or electric car. Also much cheaper to run and maintain, plus the gas tank has a longer lifetime than 5-7years like those batteries that will have to be destroyed which will cause more damage to the environment than this diesel will do during it's entire life.

radmeister, I was supporting your statement as I'm all for diesel! :)

Would Diesel Hybrid be possible in the future?
Best of both worlds, right!
