New Ferrari 458 Italia promo video released

Ferrari Senior Vice President, Dany Bahar, and his colleague, Technical Director, Roberto Fedeli, highlight several technical aspects of the new 458 Italia in this promotional video clip.

The naturally aspirated 4.5-litre V8 engine not only boasts increased power over its predecessor but also has improved efficiency and fuel consumption.

The 458 body design has reduced aerodynamic drag. For example, at 325km/h the car produces 365kg of downforce.

Different body construction materials were used for rigidity and strength, most of them lightweight - like aluminium.

Response times for most of the car's aspects have been reduced, from the steering to suspension system and including the new generation E-Diff.

As a result, it's no surprise that its 0 - 100km/h time is under 3.4 seconds and average fuel consumption is 13.7 litres per 100km.

The interior looks like it is so much more geared towards driver ergonomics. The dash and steering wheel are a huge departure from other Ferrari's. I am not 100% sold on the looks but I am sure I will still love it. I can't wait to hear that motor at full rev.

Finally a proper Ferrari that is built to drive on the track and on the back roads- with looks that truly can be only described as a supercar! Ferrari has finally developed an aggressive and sexy profile that will capture the heart and soul of billions! This has got to be one of the best designs to come from Ferrari! Finally they are pushing the boundaries and have developed an exquisite supercar!

Yes i used the words 'finally' in all three sentences not because im crazy lol - but because i have felt Ferrari always held back on their entry model (yes california is the new entry model smartasses im talking about the past) Ferraris since the 355- the previous designs were always subdued- but the 458 comes out boldly without looking overly aggressive but at the same time very sexy (havent said that about Ferrari in a while). Either way the new 458 is not only a driving machine but also an amazing design!

This car is deceiving.... The photos paint one picture, and the cars spotted out testing on the roads around the Maranello factory wearing only a very thin disguise show a very different car.

wow this car is definatley going to be a very good handling one thanks in part to the " Fully New Developed Chassis" lol, car sound great the video was utter marketing bull cringle. yes i said bull cringle!!!!
