Veritas RS III

Vermot AG, makers of the Veritas RS III have announced prices for the super car. First unveiled at the 2009 Salon Privé Motor Show in London the Veritas RS III is to be priced at €342,000 (USD$488,478) excluding tax. The final production unit shows a more aggressive front end, unlike the prototypes that were previously shown.

Stretching almost five metres in length the car is also two metres wide and less than one metre high. It therefore squats quite a bit and gives a super performance look. The driver will have the best of fresh air because it comes without a roof, although a coupe version has not been ruled out for future production.

Using a 5.0-litre BMW V10 engine performance is of usual supercar nature. Presently figures are 441kW (600hp), 0 - 100km/h in 3.2 seconds and top speed is 347km/h. Overall it weighs in at 1,170kg (2579lbs).

Wahahahaha, this is the biggest scam of the century. If you want a trackday car, get a Lotus 7. You won't cool in one, but it is much cheaper.

Well it not like spending a bigger amount of money on a trackday car like this is a smarter move anyway. If you are going to waste cash, be more reasonable and get the 7.

I guess top Gear did a review last season and the handling around corners was pathetic.

the version Top Gear had was still under development and it had an M3 engine. i'm curious if they put the finished version with the M5 engine on the track.

That amount of money is retarded for a glorified motor cycle. I'd rather buy my own HayaBusa dealership.

I don't think any of this justifies the awkward antisocial seating arrangement... Besides... 350K usually buys a roof...

Yeah, I know, it's sort of a fighter-jet arrangement, I've seen the car before. What I meant is that even when you open the passenger seat, you're both likely to sit in it with motorcycle helmets and would have to overcome the 50cm of shoulder-high "center console" to have any sort of communication.

rediculous. waste of money. at least 50k and it would be more appealing to some who want something different.
