Michael Schumacher has called a press conference to explain further his decision to call off his formula one comeback.
The seven time world champion posted a statement on his website on Tuesday explaining that a lingering head and neck injury has put paid to his plans to replace the injured Felipe Massa.
On Wednesday afternoon, he will explain the decision in more detail, according to a news item in the German newspaper Rhein Zeitung.
Also present at the press conference in Geneva will be 40-year-old Schumacher's doctor Johannes Peil, of the Bad-Neuheim Sportklinic.
