A droptop to die for

If Jon Sibal's Ferrari 458 Italia Spider rendering didn't float your boat, TeamSpeed.com has created several more.

Simulated in four different colors (Rosso Scuderia, Blue Pozzi, Vinaccia, and Nero), the renderings show how sexy a 458 Italia droptop could be. TeamSpeed.com also tinkered with the standard car, to create a possible glimpse of the Ferrari 458 Challenge.

Powered by a new direct injection 4499 cc V8 engine, the 458 Italia produces 570hp and 540 Nm of torque. When combined with Ferrari's seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the 458 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in under 3.4 seconds, before hitting a top speed in excess of 325 km/h (202 mph).

Considering that the 458 Italia won't be officially unveiled until the Frankfurt Motor Show, this is the closest we're going to get to a 458 Spider for some time.

To be honest I didn't think the coupe looked like anything too spectacular, but in Spyder form it gives Alessandra Ambrosio a run for her money. HAHA

It looks like a smaller version of the F355, enzo & something else, while the last pic looks like a zonda, it still a very ugly car.

The pics of the spider are OK, but the wheels look like an aftermarket brand put them on. On the other hand, the one in the last pic looks amazing!

i love the design, but the only thing that bothers me is the exhaust, i prefer the dual exhaust pipes...maybe im a bit oldfashioned

i wish they would leave the car alone and wait until the real thing comes out, i wouldnt be surprised if the california has some influence in the design with the spider... that would stuff all these pre designs up with the spider, so funny

f430, 612 scaglietti and california were ok. 599 gtb was really nice but i would still prefer an aston DBS. This baby however, no gallardo lp560-4 spyder can touch it it terms of sexiness and sleekness. (First time i've ever said something like about a ferrari since I adore lambos)
