To jdmgtr: Just so you know; Current and former military personnel, particularly those who had friends that were killed in action (KIA), find the KIA name to be to their disliking for obvious reasons.

A n y w a y ... on a different subject, it is good to see a mnaufacturer pair a powerful and efficient diesel with four-wheel drive and a manual transmission. I would certainly be interested in buying a small SUV if so-equipped. VW, Audi, BMW, Toyota, Ford, GM - are you listening? (Probably not.)

The guy who designed the new TT is responsible for this new Kia image. Very nice direction Kia are heading in, that other sports model of theirs looks great, forget the name.

MB is going down relative to when??? Recent MB quality has been excellent since the hiccups of the early 2000s. I will agree that KIA is doing better, but then again, they couldn't get any worse.

I'm sorry... Aren't they supposed to change the design slightly after they've ripped off the bodyshape? This... ahem... SUV reminds me terribly of a very similar looking car. Or is it just me?
