Ferrari 458 Italia spotted again on the road

Ferrari 458 Italia pre-release spy photo

458 Italia likely doing some road testing close to home on Italian highway

Here is the new Ferrari 458 Italia spotted somewhere on the road, probably in Italy. Yes, these cellphone pics are a little low-res, but certainly we can, detective-like, spot some news here somewhere?

That landscape around the highway does indeed match the flatlands of the Padania, the area around the Po river of Italy. Definitely in the same neighborhood as Ferrari's Maranello headquarters in the Italian province of Emilia-Romagna. Okay, so we can guess that Ferrari is still keeping the 458 close to home.

What else?

Despite its initial media release, the 458 is masking itself with a convenient disguise. Hiding its design lines behind the black color of one model and the blushing yellow paint job of the other, each with white stripes and spots to obscure its features. Still, we can get a pretty good idea of what it will look like.

It will look like a Ferrari.

STUNNING! This car is beautiful.

I drove the F430 yesterday on a "driving experience". I loved every minute of it. I did prefer the Gallardo, mind.

you lucky bastard, how do you guys manage these test drives? i'm in houston tx and out here there's no way to score a free ride in a f430, period!

I did it for my 21st birthday at a test track (MIRA, in the UK) I actually seen some cars driving round that were camouflaged. We weren't aloud to bring camera's for that reason.

I drove the Lambo and Ferrari for about 10 minutes each around the track and managed to get around 110mph out for the Gallardo! It was expensive, but it's a once in a lifetime experience - so it's worth every penny.

not really beautiful to me.. the rear looks like a blowfish because of the single taillights and 3 tailpipes..

but i bet its awesome to drive..no doubt about that.

This looks miles better than the current F430. I'd say, it's one of the most beautiful Ferrari's in the last decade. Bella macchina!

What can I say, it's another masterpiece from Ferrari. If you look close enough in the driver side mirror, you can see some detail of what the front of the yellow car, directly behind it, looks like.

I am not a fan of the Single Tail light thing. I much prefer the styling years of the F355. But from a performance standpoint and reliability point the news ones are far superior. I wish the person that took the pics gave us some sort of idea what the beast sounds like.

I'm with you leroisf40. It just looks good because it is a Ferrari. But the truth is, Ferrari styling is getting outdated. Sorry Ferrari fans.

Im sorry but im already tired of seeing this car. It is nice dont get me wrong but it just doesnt have the same effect on me as some of the more sensually designed models from Ferrari.

Ferrari's losing their touch in design - it's just not 10 years prettier than the F360

Looks way too much like the Enzo. Would've prefered something more original.
