On the page if you click on BrianWCF it goes on to your page and where it says 'Add as friend' or 'Remove as friend' it also says 'WCF Pro user. If I find any more bugs I'll post 'em here.

Hi Sedaer, if I'm understanding correctly, that's not a bug. All WCF Pro members will have the option to select in their profile "WCF PRO user" status which will be displayed on their garage home page as well as all comments. It is completely optional.

Just a reminder that we have inserted a sample of the WCF Pro gallery on this article page. Click on any thumbnail photo above and check it out. The photos load almost instantly - even hi-res size 1600 pixels. There's a slideshow function and individual photo download button as well. Thanks to all for their kind comments and emails! We appreciate your support.

If you are offering additional content at a cost that you could be offering everyone for free then I think you are risking alienating the very people who helped to put you where you are. A very slippery slope starts here. Bye bye WCF. It's been emotional!

jasb, you are assuming we can offer these features for free. When in fact the additional content does cost money, and the new functional features negatively impact our ad revenue (if they were to be free). That is the whole point WCF Pro - to still offer readers a choice to have these features however via a subscription model. That is the only way we can offer them without losing funds.

Understood but the first time you break a story to your paying Pro subscribers at the expense of those loyal readers who have put you where you are will be a very sad day indeed.

I agree jasb. That would definitely alienate our audience and be a big mistake. News will always flow fast to everyone. The main intention of WCF Pro is to offer more viewing choices. And make WCF the best experience we can. We now include photos with every F1 story we publish (approx 12 stories per day). Naturally, this increases our costs and the Pro members will benefit from the hi-resolution sizes. Nonetheless, the F1 stories will still remain public as well as their respective photos but in low resolution.

People have stopped buying magazines because you can get ANY car news/pics/reviews for free on the internet. I remember bus selecta when it started to charge people. It disappeared down the drain soon after. I don't have a problem if some people feel the need to pay for photos that usually come for free with press releases, I won't be. I don't find "clicking twice" to get a picture enough of a reason to pay for it lol.

leebromly, just to clarify, all press release photos will remain free and open to all up to 1280 pixel width (whenever possible). Pro members will get 1600 pixel width press photos and protected photos such as F1 and Grid Girls (up to 1200 pixels), plus an Ajax photo gallery that loads photos almost instantly. Trust me, it's a lot more than just "clicking twice" that's being saved - it's a lot of time and hassle too. The whole experience of viewing photos is transformed and 10 times more enjoyable. We find ourselves cycling through the gallery photos two and three times now, since the process is so effortless. I urge everyone to try it out on the pictures above.

No offense I won't be paying for the subscription, but I did want to tell you the 'Download Whole Album' option is a very neat idea, and if there was more features like this Id definetly pay. Ad-Free is another great feature to pay for...You almost have me WCF! Just a few more benefits and ill pay :) also want to say i love WCF, Been visiting since the beginning of GermanCarFans :)

I like the idea. But is it possible to have news from GT Championship and Le mans Series?
