The sedan rear, which has always bothered me with its odd angles and glued-on Lexus tail lights, is completely eliminated here. I like this estate a lot. Very nice.

Is there a real difference between both rear light designs? Anyways, I like the new station waggon a lot. Looks indeed very decent.

Very, very nice :-D... in the right Mercedes-Benz tradition of the E-Class Kombis/Estates/Wagons: since the W123 to this W212... always evolving! Obrigado

Very nice and decent indeed. My wife and I test drove the sedan 'E550' on Saturday, and the E550 Coupe few days before it. We Loved them both and I can easily say that Mercedes has found the winning combination and is going back to its root and is really showing what a Mercedes-Benz should be. I Love the design and they look 1000 times better in person. As their commercials say, "This is Mercedes-Benz"! Bravo Mercedes!

couple thousand dollars cheaper than the outgoing version across the board. i think this e-class may approach the LEGEND of the w124, just maybe . . .

Although it looks better than the sedan, the tail lamps spoil the show. They are a tad too big and intrude too much into the boot space. They also make the rear look bulky & boring. MB should take a leaf out of Volvo's design language (read XC60 rear), especially when sketching the estate/kombi version. Overall, a boring design that doesn't evoke any emotions from a casual on-looker.

Did anyone notice the two small rear-facing seats in the boot that turn it into a 7-seater? Check in the album.
