U.S. Tuner Elite has come up with a Bond car (as in James Bond in a LeMans racer) inspired by the Ferrari Scuderia and Ferrari Stradale as well as the Lamborghini Superleggera. They call it the 2010 Aston Martin LMV/R (Le Mans Vantage Racer).

Elite claims the car will be lighter than the production model through extensive use of carbon fiber parts. And one has to assume that performance is, at least, marginally improved by way of the weight reduction as well the aerodynamic/body kit, a sport exhaust system and lowering springs. A big brake kit hints at increased performance too but Elite does not provide any info on that front.

Also included in the package is a an Alcantara interior along with carbon fiber paneling in the cabin and 20-inch wheels to fit the wide body kit. But this package really seems to be about that carbon fiber body paneling which, along with the usual skirts, wings and rear diffuser, also comes with rear quarter panel extensions that are 2-inches (5 cm) wider.

Only 30 of these Aston Martin LMV/R's will be made. They will be distributed through Aston Martin dealers in the United States. The price is a tad...no, it's an outright million miles beyond reasonable at 173,000 U.S. dollars, not including the original Aston Martin Vantage. But it does include transport to Elite for the installation job and back to the dealer purchase point where one buys the car.

Well, that makes it worth it then.

Press Release (Click to expand)

Final concept images have just been released for the 2010 Aston Martin LMV/R (Le Mans Vantage Racer). Only 30 of these race cars for the street will be produced for the world. Following in the footsteps of the Ferrari Scuderia and Stradale and Lamborghini Superleggera, the Elite LMV/R is lighter than the factory Vantage due to most of the body panels being made from carbon fiber. The Scuderia, Stradale and Superleggera were built for the purists who wanted a race car for the street, a more nimble version of the production street car that they were built from. These cars aren't for everybody due to their harsher ride and loud exhaust systems. This is the company that the LMV/R will now be amongst but even more rare and special. The Superleggera's US production was 172 cars, the Ferrari Stradale seen 1,288 examples built and the Scuderia production is supposed to top out at about 1,500 cars. Compare these production numbers to the 30 LMV/R's that will be built and you can see how special and rare the LMV/R will truly be. To take a Vantage and turn it into an LMV/R, many components are used. Here is a list of what comes standard on the LMV/R;

  • Carbon fiber body kit consisting of: front bumper with screens, visible carbon canards, visible carbon front splitter, hood, fenders (2" wider), side skirts, side skirt panels, rear quarter panel extensions (2" wider), trunk lid with visible carbon rear wing, rear bumper with visible carbon diffuser
  • Matte black 20" wheels and tires for wide body kit
  • Lowering springs
  • Big Brake kit
  • Sport muffler with tips
  • Carbon fiber engine bay kit
  • Full Alcantara interior
  • Carbon fiber interior kit
  • Serial numbered plaque (only 30 cars will be produced)
  • LMV/R matte black stripes
  • Installation and full repaint

All LMV/R's will be assembled in Florida and sent to and from the dealership that sold the car within the US. All LMV/R's will be based on 2010 Vantage's and will be very unique. The customer will order a brand new Vantage in any color offered by Aston Martin with any options. The Vantage is then picked up and sent to Florida where the work will be performed. The exterior can be painted the factory color or a custom color at an additional charge. The interior can be assembled in any color of the customers choosing since all the surfaces will be covered in new Alcantara.

Elite is currently seeking an Aston Martin dealer in the US to be the exclusive dealer for these 30 cars. The package price is estimated at $173,000 plus the cost of the Vantage. These will be very special and unique cars and more information on deposits can be requested by Elite's exclusive distributor, Exotica Motorsports. www.Exotica-Motorsports.com

If you take away that spoiler, you have tuning perfection here.

and how is that tuning perfection? NOTHING in this article is about the engine performance upgrade. only things mentioned are body kit, brakes, exhaust, suspension and wheels.

Looks like a road legal race-bred supercar...id could even live with the spoiler if its functional as well as with the exhausts taken from a Scuderia...

Yep, that does look good. With the V12 lump it would be pretty much perfect.

The rear spoiler ruins the design line but if it works in high velocity, i won't complain.

What do love most about the car is the centre-locking wheels, real F1-performance. Just sick!

this is beyond any surprize. one of the few aston's that was modified. it is not perfect though. they did nothing to the engine. but i wouldnt mind owning one. i wonder why doesent Edo take one of the astons (or one of each model) and make something... demential. they are good at that.

The Spoiler should like the the TT when it comes up at 75mph and retract because that does look a little tacky
