Based on Chevrolet Corvette

The first real world photos of the SV 9 Competizione have been released by SV Motor Co.

Based on the Chevrolet Corvette, the Competizione blends American performance with Italian style. The exterior features an odd mix of shapes while the interior boasts carbon fiber reinforced seats, Italian leather upholstery, and burlwood or carbon-fiber trim.

Power comes from the Corvette's LS3 V8 engine which has been tuned to produce 450 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque. The modest increase in power (14 hp) comes from a revised air intake and a custom-tuned ANSA exhaust which is modeled after the Ferrari Daytona and 599 GTB. The SV Motor Company estimates this will enable the SV 9 to rocket from 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds and run the quarter-mile in 12 seconds flat.

To ensure the Competizione handles like a proper Italian exotic, SVMC adds a specially tuned sports suspension, a high performance braking system, and Pirelli P-Zero Rosso ultra performance tires.

Priced at $99,995 (€69,402), SV 9 production will be limited to 1,000 units.

well if you're going to copy a car, it may as well be one of the most beautiful....

At least we know what the byproduct of an Alfa-on-Corvette butt raping session will look like.

it is much easier these days to make "supper cars". so many companies out there that it is easy to just copy an idea and make few changes and call it a different name. where is creativity these days???

I love how the SV badge looks like the Lamborghini SV badge, the rims are pure lambo, the front looks like a 599GTB, and the rear of course like the 8c...This car is a joke.

Do none of you really get that this car is supposed to be an Alfa 8C knockoff? From the name itself to the obvious design cues, it's clearly inspired by, and made to look like an 8C. Unfortunately, it will never even come close to the original. The interior is still horrendous (no matter how many chunks and slabs of leather and wood is used) and the car itself is not that good looking. The concept was ok, but the execution is not so. Once American, always American.

I'd prefer a moronic Mazda smile over the horrified expression on this car. If you want Italian style, try to copy the nose of a Maserati GT next time.

I'll take two please. Italian design, Alfa copy, American engineering, not a bad combination.

and please... don´t call the american way of building a car "engineering"

Is Panoz the ONLY small American car maker to be creative and actually build their own car?

You guys dont appreciate anything. The car is built on a corvette chassis and drivetrain proven works performs. However the body and the interior are crap. It does resemble an 8c no kiddin and ferrari hints way to go guys u noticed the thing is it does not cost 285K or 399K have any of you watched top gear when they drove and tested the 8c and said what a piece of crap it is no handleing poor performance an utter waiste of time for 285k go buy one then as for panoz it is built on a ford mustang chassis and drivetrain really no different in any way. I think the car looks good has better performance all carbon fiber body and a way improved enterior than a corvette. So think it true guys before you just spew crap from your faces. Take the car for what it is worth not what you think it should be are any of you guys designing and building cars. Im not but still appreciate the effort in this economy.
