Aey,oh, woah..... Scratchy996, my friend. Why all the hostile and negative energy here?? No need to sacrifice your 911 in the name of protest. Just simply donate your 911 my way, so that way no inocent 911s get hurt. Okay?? That way, everyone wins (3-way tie if you will). You get to protest by riding your bike, I gain a 911 and the 911 remanis in one piece, bada bing, bada boom eh? What you say? Besides..... I would almost bet you that you would probably, nope..... You would've regreted it, the instant you would've applied flame to sheet-metal my friend.

They can design and build whatever they want but that's not the challenge. The real challenge will be getting real Porsche enthusiasts to purchase one.

I doubt that they would test a hybrid by putting a big ass sticker on a big ass bulge...its probably some sort of a computer/monitoring system...

Road & Track Dec. 2008 issue covered that one, it?s called the E-Ruf Concept Model A and I had to go and track the magazine to compare because it was also black like the one in the pics, only it?s not a cabriolet. It was also lacking the bulge on the bonnet and had Ruf alloys as well as different bumpers and "Erprobungsfahrt" or "Test Drive" stickers. The 200 lb US built electric motor is good for around 200HP and 479 lb ft, and the batteries sadly add 1200 lb to the car?s curb weight. I hope Porsche does go ahead and push with the development of the idea, of course at the moment it?s heavy and complicated but it?s only the beginning...

911 hybrid? Are Porsche kidding? I'm sick of this hybrid crap creeping up on marques like Porsche! I would go as far as to say this is a disgrace to VW's diesel heritage! I hope this crap just sticks to Toyota & Honda. Rant over.

sorry, with legislation coming in that effects co2 outputs by manufacturer, we're going to see more of this rather than less. besides its the logical progression of technology. recovering energy from the system rather than letting it go to waste makes engineering sense.

For all we know, they may be developing an electric boost, similar to the ones nopw available in F1 racing, where the power from regenerative braking gets stored, and used for short bursts in HP at critical points in a race.
