Ok, so it is not THAT bad, but there are a whole lot of Saloons that are on sale which are better than this.

I love the aeronautical themes that are, more so than ever, stronger in this model. From the cockpit DLO to the afterburner-like tail lamps. How cool is that 'hungry for air' grille(s) at the front! I put some of my explanations onto the images at http://bit.ly/31t9JT

As expected...saab isn't meant to be flashy...don't like the opel steering wheel, though.

God I can't wait till the first Saab developed under Koenigsegg ownership. This is just OK.. like an insignia is just OK.

The smaller Saab 9-3 is supposed to be the new Saab 900, but for some reason this big 9-5 actually looks more like the old 900 4-door sedan.

Wow... way to go, Saab.
Maybe a little too late... but pretty hot anyway.

There are some very interesting elements to this car: the headlamps, tail lamp treatment, grille, curve of the trailing end of the greenhouse, and blacked-out trim on the A-pillars. It appears to be a Saab - which is a good thing. It looks upscale, but not top-end. I am interested enough to want to see how it drives. I am greatly encouraged to see three pedals in these "leaked" photos. LONG LIVE MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS!

Now that's what a SAAB should look like !!
Exterior : The design is very very cool, the actual 9-5 with all that chrome in the front looks like a Christmas tree but this one, looks more natural.
Inside : Koenigsegg .. get rid of that dash with the A/C vents right in front of the driver (for the headache some clients will delete it from the list), the three circles should (MUST) have some chrome ring or something luminescent like the new Astra or the Mazda 6 top spec, or both.
The Opel wheel : come oooon, in a country where the people is exhaling design, is this what you can bring .. an "used" Opel steering wheel?
With some interior touches, i see a bright future for this car - an some other thing, the price is too big for SAAB in this moment.
Use some paralel price policy with the Skoda Superb (i might say that for interior space they might compete) and the succes will be guaranteed !!!

Looks ok, Very Sabbish, which is good. Not a fan of this colour on this car though... I was oping they would put a grill on it like the one on the Pre-facelift current Saab or 9-3, but other than that, I like it. but Id really like a different grill

A few thoughts... (1) I'll have to see the exterior in person before I can judge. It's not bad but I'm not absolutely certain on it yet. (2) Interior looks like a propper SAAB. (3) Why do the instruments look SO cheap? (4) I wonder what the driving dynamics will be like? I tend to shy away from nose-heavy cars and FWD so I wonder about this. AWD can make things better, but rarely has the feeling of a traditional RWD setup.

Hard to believe a company can fail so miserably. I could go on and on about the schizophrenic design and mutilated engineering but why waste the breath on crap like this. I had higher expectations after our long wait.

i like that , interior with the ribbed section running between the vents over the instruments is very 70's , beats owning a dull boring german barge.

i've returned to this thread and i must say after careful thought and consideration my conclusion is that saab has done a nice job here. the styling is true to saab however there are a lot of nice touches. if you like saab i think you will like this

interior looks like a cheap korean rip off of an audi a5... this car is clearly styled to sell well in america... ugly!
