disapointed that this wont continue to be made, but! its a good break away from following porsches mistake of making a jeep and not putting the funding into making another high performance car.

The Cayenne has done loads to ensure that Porsche CAN afford to make sports cars. Before it came along, Porsche was still recovering from near bankrupcy, which is what forced the Boxster and 996 to share so many components. It's thanks to "the jeep" that they have a much more pleasing and unique line up now.
Expect the Panamera to do the same for them for the next phase.
Back on topic, pleased to see the Lagonda killed - it was hideous.

Very good news. Now they can concentrate on that Toyota iQ Cygnet..."thing" and throw away some more money. Hahahhahahahahha. What?s next?

good news , but they have to review the design cuz this is not beautiful in my opinion !

Well done ! I am not sorry at all, i am really glad that they didn't fooled their clients with the GL based super deluxe SUV when the Merc is delux enough. Make that DBS and DB9 for good, leave the Lagonda stuff alone.

hideous ? far from it ! if the motoring world has been made to swallow abominable nightmares like the ugh-ly siblings Porsche Cayenne/Panamera , why can't some people give the Lagonda SUV which is light years ahead of the latter in terms of styling sense , a chance to prove itself . David Richards...wipe those cobwebs from your eyes , if not from your brain , and realize what an excellent automobile you have got in here .

Good decision. It looked like a monster that just crawled in from Geneva lake. Hideous in flesh, hideous in concept....

I remember watching the video of this car's unveiling when it happened. The audience made quite a vocal gasp, much to the discomfort of the lead designer. How can the man responsible for the One-77 possibly have done this? I'm sure there was whisky involved.

If this project went through, you would be surprised at how many actual buyers would turn up, at the "right" price. Vulgar newly rich, compete among themselves who will out-vulgarize each other, and the supply of such (****(your choice of expletive) buyers seems inexhaustible, on both sides of the pond. If an item becomes "vogue" with this crowd, suppliers end up laughing all their way to the bank.
