Alfa Romeo's successor to the 147 has been spied yet again. For the first time, we can now see the full use of LEDs at the back on the upcoming Alfa Romeo Milano.
When we brought you a series of leaked photos featuring an uncovered Milano still at the factory, we were only able to confirm the use of a vertical array of LEDs in the headlamps. With these latest spy photos we can definitely see tailamps that use a horizontal line of LEDs which wrap into a circle as the line heads outward.
The Alfa Romeo Milano is expected to come with several different petrol and diesel engine options, including a top-shelf turbocharged 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine. That engine should produce around 200 horsepower, while smaller 1.4-liter units should produce from 120 to 160 hp. Sharing much of the same front styling as the MiTo, designers made the vehicle more unique with a rounder posterior.
We expect to see the Alfa Romeo Milano at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, but it is possible that the car could instead get a launch at the Geneva Motor Show in February. Expect the vehicle to go on sale in Europe shortly after its first auto show appearance. Later, it could also reach U.S. soil as a Chrysler.
