BMW doesn't have access to the Broadspeed name, which is in use on a well known new car website.

This is one of the smartest moves BMW have made in my opinion.
Trying to find new niches seems to be one of their marketing guidelines. Doesn't work with the X6 but will work with the mini coupe simply because Kei car coupes are fascinating as they try to fulfill all your needs with the least amount of money.
Granted the Smart Roadster was a flop, mostly because of the power to cost ratio, but this will be something else. I don't quite see why it should only get the full works treatment and not the simple 1.6L engine, but it will still be the best city coupes you can have.
The backseats don't matter, I have never seen 4 people in a mini and thank god for that.
