I'm sure it is, with these specs you're looking at around 7.2 secs to 100km p/h. 8 secs stock. But this comment: 'Superplus fuel which is rich in octane is now required to run this modified Golf' means you'll need to either fork out lots for specialised fuel or live it a country that supplies it standard at the pumps (Germany? I don't know).

My old 307 2.0L did the same... with 138hp.

Its a winner although there's no replacement for displacement regardless of how much forced induction one can squeeze

There's a mistake in rephrasing the press release:
"The Sportec SC 200 shaves a full 1.4 seconds off the 8.2 seconds taken by the VW Series for the sprint to 100 Km/h"
Thus, it accelerates in 6,8 seconds, which is better than the 6,9s stock GTI running on Euro gasoline. However if GTI 2.0TSI would run on special fuel, with modified maps, it could overrun the SC 200.
