An anonymous tipster has sent us the alleged US dealer ordering guide for the upcoming Mercedes SLS AMG Gullwing.

The extensive brochure gives us our first glimpse of the SLS' long list of standard equipment which includes Parktronic, Keyless-go, auto dimming and power folding mirrors, a headlight washing system, dual zone automatic climate control, a rear view camera, bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime driving lights, a 40GB COMAND system with GPS navigation and enhanced voice control, Sirius satellite radio, HD radio and iPod/MP3 connectivity.

According to the guide, the 6.3-liter (6208cc) V8 engine produces 563 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque in US spec. This of course is backed up by a 7-speed AMG dual-clutch transmission, a limited slip rear differential, and compound brake rotors. Should that fail to impress you, Mercedes also offers a stiffer AMG sports suspension ($1,500) and a $12,000 carbon ceramic braking system.

The car will be offered in nine different colors with Obsidian Black, Iridium Silver, Caspian Blue and Zircon Red coming standard. Himalayas Medium Grey and Diamond White will set you back $1,500 while Alanite Grey and Sylvanite Grey will cost $3,000. For maximum exclusivity, Mercedes will also offer a $10,000 Alu-Beam "liquid metal" paint job. Owners can further customize their SLS by ordering $5,000 carbon fiber mirror covers and $2,400 10-spoke AMG forged wheels.

Although the car comes nicely equipped with Alcantara, leather, and aluminum trim, Mercedes offers a variety of upgrades including carbon fiber accents on the center console and doors ($4,500) and a full carbon fiber package ($9,000) that consists of the aforementioned accents as well as carbon fiber sill plates and seat frames. Other interior options include special leather seats, a $500 leather and Alcantara steering wheel, a $6,400 Bang & Olufsen audio system with ten speakers, and a luggage set.

Are all of these SLS 'leaks' for real or just a way of drumming up excitement? It looks like Mercedes needs to sort out it's security! the SLS looks great though

wow 12,000 for ceramic breaks... wow over priced much ?

but the option that really did it for me was the Bang & Olufsen sound system LOL god, id get it for sure just for the name. but over all this guide seems pretty temporary im sure its not the final version. hopefully they do some price checks on the breaks and other options. but then again it is mercedes. but, i do like the red and black trim seats they look nice.

I think $12,000 for ceramic brakes is OK, but $10,000 for the Alu-Beam "Liquid Metal" paint job??? It must give the car the ability to change its shape just like the T1000 in order to cost that much

*yawn* i love this car, but im getting tired of it before it even comes out. why dsnt Mercedes just go ahead a show it? i mean srssly autobild has shown an a picture of it, and their illistrations (sp?) are alweighs like 96% of what the car will look like.

This is why I believe the car is simply over-rated. $4,500 U.S. for a carbon fiber trim lol. What an irony!

true! with all these leaks and spy photos, I don't think the SLS won't be that exciting anymore when it comes out.

Not many people read WCF as much as we do. This car is gonna be a hit when it is displayed in Sept.

You've posted "over-rated" about three times on articles about the SLS, get a life. For someone who thinks its not much of a car, you're paying an awful lot of attention to it. Go rub one out to BMW's latest mini-van station wagon crossover, or SAV, excuuuuuse me.

Have to ask a stupid question, Of course I have heard of ceramic Brakes but what makes them so expensive and are really that better the stock offering? and again forgive my stupidity, but you have to change brakes every few years or miles is it 12k each time or ? some one please explain and dont be to mean thanks
