Alguersuari to test Toro Rosso at Vairano
Unconfirmed Toro Rosso race debutant Jamie Alguersuari's maiden test in his new role is taking place at the Vairano circuit in Italy on Thursday.
The Spanish newspaper Diario Sport said the 19-year-old, set to replace Sebastien Bourdais from next weekend's Hungarian grand prix and beyond, is conducting the straight-line test to confirm the major aerodynamic changes to the STR4.
Team sources however indicate that the Alguersuari test was always scheduled and that he remains in his official role as third and reserve driver.
The Toro Rosso test is not taking place on Friday as was previously reported, because Alguersuari will be at Le Mans in France to practice for the weekend's World Series by Renault races.
